This breed was an ambitious attempt to meld certain aspects of the grey wolf, Alaskan Malamute and German Shepherd Dog. Any resulting pups were offered for sale in Exchange and Mart during the mid-1980s.
A wolfsatian (wolf x German shepherd dog) was produced by Leslie and Pauline Clews at the Southam Park Zoo.
